วันเสาร์ที่ 7 ธันวาคม 2567 โรงเรียนสันทรายวิทยาคมโดยนักเรียนวงโยธวาทิตบรรเลงเพลงไว้อาลัยในพิธีศพ ผอ.นิคม เมฆะ อดีตครูโรงเรียนสันทรายวิทยาคมผู้ซึ่งแต่งเพลงมาร์ชสันทรายให้แก่นักเรียนโรงเรียนสันทรายวิทยาคมได้ร้องกันจนถึงทุกวันนี้ “ด้วยรักและอาลัย“ จากใจผู้บริหาร คณะครู และนักเรียนโรงเรียนสันทรายวิทยาคม ณ วัดแม่โจ้ อำเภอสันทราย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่
